Saturday evening featured a clash between two formidable defensive fronts. However, when it was all said and done, Texas A&M emerged victorious with a 38-17 road win over the No. 19 Missouri Tigers.

Both teams faced challenges throughout the game, with A&M committing several untimely penalties and Missouri struggling to complete passes downfield. The A&M defense had a rollercoaster performance, at times either surrendering a big run or committing pass interference.

Still, they delivered several game-changing plays thanks to Cashius Howell, Dalton Brooks, and Daymion Sanford. In the grand scheme, they allowed just 17 points and kept Missouri’s young quarterback uncomfortable all night.

It wasn’t until the second half that the offense found its rhythm, finally moving the stout Tigers' defensive line off the ball and racking up over 200 rushing yards in the final two quarters. They also diversified their ground attack with quarterback runs and wide receiver jet sweeps. The penalties and inconsistent run fits were frustrating—issues Mike Elko will surely address—but for now, the Aggies are 9-0 and continue building their case to be one of the top seeds.

Below, you’ll find some of the best reactions from social media:

This is one of the better all-around teams since the 1990s

Texas A&M HC Mike Elko has Texas A&M 9-0 for the first time since the 1990’s and is showing no signs of slowing down. Texas A&M and the staff has this group playing resilient and very tough, and want to win games for each other.

Excited for this team, Elko Era. #GigEmpic.twitter.com/lq1XBGvLwA

Big time plays from big times players

Dalton Brooks, Rueben Owens and the Aggie offensive line really rose to the occasion today in CoMo. Mistake-free ball from Marcel Reed on the road was a must, as well, and #10 (250 total yards and 2 TDs) obliged.

While there were a lot of mistakes, A&M still won by three touchdowns

UPDATE: #3 Texas A&M HANDLES #22 Missouri 38-17 in Faurot Field

-It never felt that close for the Aggies

-Aggie QB Marcel Reed was 20/29 for 221, 2 TD’s

-Mizzou RB’s Jamal Roberts and Ahmad Hardy both surpass 100 yards rushing
