The only downside to this site is the lack of hiking trails and on this trip there were a billion little flies. They started coming out in the morning and steadily got worse until about 3 or 4pm when they they got REALLY bad. They would swarm until about 30 minutes after the sun went behind the mountain and then go away for the night.

On my way out I talked to a couple that said they had never seen them there before either.

Thanks. I have been up there after a rain when it was really clear. It is simply amazing.
