Frazier wasn’t Hue Jackson; he’s been successful as a DC after his time in Tampa. What's funny is that view of the examples are slam dunks that you take the non-white candidate.
You have guys like Leslie Frazier that had things go so poorly that he probably never gets another HC gig. Same with Patricia.
But he had that cool pencil thing going on!Frazier wasn’t Hue Jackson; he’s been successful as a DC after his time in Tampa.
Matt Patricia was so obviously unfit to lead a team from the start.
Don't disagree, but would you hire Frazier as a HC? I wouldn't.Frazier wasn’t Hue Jackson; he’s been successful as a DC after his time in Tampa.

I’d have hired Frazier over Kliff and probably Gannon.Don't disagree, but would you hire Frazier as a HC? I wouldn't.
I also wouldn't have hired Ken Whisenhunt after his 2nd successful stint as an OC.
Known failures aren't better than the unknown.I’d have hired Frazier over Kliff and probably Gannon.
If this were the case the Pats never would have hired Bill Belicheck.Known failures aren't better than the unknown.

The Chiefs would have never hired Andy Reid.
The Seahawks would have never hired Pete Carroll.
Such a weird, ahistorical take.
Yeah Reid was a failure...that's a pretty bad comparison.Bit of a stretch.
Pete Carroll and Andy Reid both had winning records when hired by the Seahawks and the Chiefs. Massively so in Reids case.
BB took over a 3-13 team almost a .500 team over his 5 years there. But he was a far more successful DC than Frazier.
There are different levels of failure.
