People can't get enough of the Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni dynamic. Why would they? Their journeys have been tied to one another since the Philadelphia Eagles' 2021 offseason. We have certainly seen it all. They played air guitar together during their first game, and ever since, we have heard questions about their bond.
Hurts was once criticized for not complimenting his head coach fast enough. Coach Sirianni was criticized at times because it was sometimes believed that a head coach should be as stoic as his quarterback.
They've since found common ground. During Super Bowl LIX, NFL Films caught a glimpse of Sirianni deciding to sit his players once victory was assured. His star asked him if he was sure. The head coach reiterated he was, and the two shared 'I love yous' before they walked off in opposite directions.
Then came HBO's Hard Knocks: In Season with the NFC East this December.
Though the fate of most of the NFC East had been decided before this airing of the first episode, it has been fun seeing some behind-the-scenes access to the Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, and New York Giants.
So far, there's been no embarrassing Joe Schoen moment yet, but we wouldn't rule one out. It's Joe Schoen for crying out loud. We did, however, see some Hurts-Sirianni magic in a close-up of the final touchdown pass to A.J. Brown in Philadelphia's 31-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Take that, haters. There's some 'Brotherly Love' in Philadelphia after all. Next up is a date with the division-rival Commanders.
