Hardest Position to Succeed as a Rookie?

CB that would be a hard possition to play against the stronger quicker WR and TE. Plus you would have to make a tackle on a RB that could just pound you into the ground.

Out of the choices above - I say WR, but without a doubt, I have never seen a rookie QB come into the league and set it on fire - mind you I've only been watching football since around 1987 - but the only WR that I can remember just coming out a flat out succeeding was Moss.

He has the record for most catches in a season for a rookie. He took his team to the Super Bowl also, so I would say he was the most successful rookie wideout ever (since the Super Bowl is the goal for any player)!

Ok, either the WR spot has to get harder to play, or I gotta go. Let's not have any overtime / coinflip crap here...

DT is harder to learn than DE in our miserable read and react scheme. In a more direct and penetrating defensive line scheme, DT should be easy - shoot the gap, tackle the ball.

WR is difficult to play well early because of the good dbs in the pros and because teams mix up their coverages so much.

Center is also a tough learn.

Fb is also tough because colleges aren't turning out polished FBs anymore. Guys are either blockers, or receivers but can't do both yet.

My guess is these three positions are the most difficult to learn, in order, from most difficult to less so:

Center
Wide Receiver
Defensive tackle
