My alma mater, the Mesa High Jackrabbits will play in the Arizona State 5A-I Football Championship Game At University of Phoenix Stadium Against Chandler Hamilton on 12/12/2009 @ 5:00pm.

Geez...I don't know about this one. Although I want the city of Mesa to be known for good football, I am a Mountain View alum and you're not supposed to root for your crosstown rival.

It's OK though, the Toros have still won way more state titles, including in my senior year (1983).

The game was brutal tonight. 35-0, I was there.

Hats off to Hamilton, but I couldn't help but wonder....

You look at Mesa's team and you see a bunch of average sized high-school kids.

You look at Hamilton and you see a group of monsters who are all over 6 feet tall and the O lineman were all bigger than me. Wow, that district of Chandler sure hit the genetic jackpot this year! Couldn't possibly have anything to do with some recruiting shenanigans...

Oh well, way to go Rabbits, good season!
