A rotten place...
SPECIAL TEAMS: PR TED GINN, JR., ARIZONA CARDINALS
· Ginn had a 71-yard punt-return touchdown in the Cardinals’ 25-14 come-from-behind win at the New York Giants.
· With Arizona trailing 14-13 with 10:28 remaining in the fourth quarter, Ginn fielded a punt at the Cardinals’ 29-yard line and returned it 71 yards for a touchdown. The score gave Arizona a lead it would not relinquish.
· In his career, Ginn has four punt-return touchdowns and three kickoff-return touchdowns. His seven total kick-return touchdowns rank fourth among active NFL players.
· In his eighth season from Ohio State, this is Ginn’s third career Player of the Week Award. He previously was honored in Week 8, 2009 (Miami) and Week 1, 2011 (San Francisco).
· He is the first Cardinals return specialist to win the award since PATRICK PETERSON (Week 12, 2011).
· Ginn, who previously won with the Dolphins and 49ers, is the second return specialist to be named Special Teams Player of the Week with three different teams (DARRIEN GORDON).

Expected. But cool!

We don't win that game without Ginn.

Oh good grief! Don't ENCOURAGE him!

That's like the Suns of two years ago yelling, "Shoot, Shannon, shoot!"

Don't encourage him? You mean you don't him running back balls anymore?

I'll take 10 back kickoffs/returns for every 1 TD any day.

Woo hoo. Second game in and we have the player of the week. Excellent!

He is going to be a TON of fun to watch this year.

Up until that returned punt, he has been fair-catching nearly every punt, even though no one was close, and running kick-offs out of the end zone even though he clearly had nowhere to go and left his team in horrible field position.

It is simply not acceptible to return a kick-off to the 8 yard line. He has speed and I loved that run back, but it does not erase the bad decision making. He has to improve.

That is why BA said he is still thinking about firing him from kick-off returns.

It simply isn't acceptable to throw an INT, fumble the ball, play half-ass coverage (I'm talking to you PP) etc.

I remember one occasion, maybe two that he shouldn't have fair caught the ball. The first game of the season, he didn't fair catch the ball and was lucky to not have fumbled the ball.

I have one... COULD OUR SPECIAL TEAMS LEARN HOW TO BLOCK BETTER, on that play they woke up buy Ginn (and Peterson last year) had to endure some of the worst return blocking I have ever witnessed!

My bigger gripe is kick-offs. One mistake is OK. But with him it is a pattern. I love his speed and the potential there, but man, he has to make better choices.

Other than the one play he has really looked bad. He was running scared today and dropped an easy pass.

Time for a change at returner

I don't think I've ever seen a wide receiver slide like a QB. THAT'S JUST SAD

Or run out of bounds to avoid contact, fair catch when nobody is in his zipcode, worst free agency pick we made considering our depth at receiver. I wish we could trade his ass this week, that kind of mentality can be contagious.
