On Thursday night, much of the NFL world got its first look at the future of the New York Giants. Super rookies Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo went out and took out the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, and they did it in convincing fashion. This was a Giants team missing star wide receiver Malik Nabers but it didn't matter thanks to their new quarterback/running back tandem.

This might not seem like a big deal to the Pittsburgh Steelers but when you consider the Steelers could have drafted both guys and needed both positions, it makes more sense. We've already talked about how the Steelers passed on Skattebo for running back Kaleb Johnson and the problems with Johnson getting on the field. Both backs there third-round picks with Johnson coming off the board first.

But when Dart started to slide on draft day, we had to wonder if Pittsburgh would select the former Ole Miss star despite signing Aaron Rodgers. Instead, the Steelers went with former Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon and decided to roll with the 41-year-old QB and will worry about quarterback next offseason. Harmon has been solid since coming back from a preseason injury but no team wins the Super Bowl with mediocre quarterback play but a great defensive tackle. It looks like the Giants are set for the future and Pittsburgh now has more questions than answers at quarterback and running back going forward.
