It’s time for him to go. His press conferences keep getting worse and worse. So they don’t like the 3rd & 8 call yet run it anyway, even though there’s 3 timeouts left to burn?
this is where following leadership principles blindly can lead you right off the cliff

" I let my coordinators call plays". Good. Its a good principle.

but: as a leader / HC you cant be so married to that principle that you just allow them to make a terrible decision.

Gannon not doing himself any favors in his press interactions

I appreciate he owned the 3rd down call, but this is year 3.

for those that didnt listen the Monday am briefing: it was all softballs until Theo Mackie of the AZ Rep asked about the specifics of the 3rd down call -- that seemed to embolden the remainder of the media to ask tougher questions.

Was he the one who asked why when they both didn't like the call, they went with it anyway?

Gannon isn’t terrible. That doesn’t mean he can win in AZ tho. Unless he loses the locker room he isn’t going anywhere.
Said this many times: you need a plus QB, HC, or GM to win in the NFL. If you have two, you’re probably a perennial Super Bowl contender.

Gannon isn’t a minus HC, but it’s concerning that he’s unraveling at the first sign of even mild expectations.

He did a terrible job of leading his coaching staff and getting his team prepared in the off-season. The conservative offense and defense is totally on his shoulders. He blew THREE easily winnable games, due to the philosophy they entered the season with.

Now, here we are after five weeks and they really need to blow up that game plan. Is he good enough to keep this team together mentally and emotionally AND making major changes from what they prepared for all off-season?

I don't think so. But he is welcome to prove me wrong by getting things turned around and making the playoffs.

He’s maybe the Kyler Murray of head coaches.

This is right on.
On that last Cardinals drive, the first 2 run calls were expected to get the Titans 2 use timeouts.
Now at 3rd & 8 with 2:13 remaining, lining up in the I formation with 1 wideout signals run all the way, which is exactly what the Cardinals ran. Everyone watching knew it and so did the Titans. Michael Carter had almost no chance of gaining 8 yards.
The ONLY reason to run this play would be to force the Titans to use their last timeout. LOL…didn’t work!
No Titan TO and no Cardinals 1st down.
EPIC failure by this coaching staff!

It was incredibly dumb as it was BEFORE the two minute warning! Now, it might make sense if it was called at the 2 minutes warning but man.... So stupid. I was furious at the game. And only got madder watching is run the exact same defense on every play of the Titans last drive
