Greinke is pitching and he should have it all over the Rockies pitcher.

Hopefully, he won't have a bad 1st inning and the game won't become
dependent upon our bullpen.

Evidently Peralta, who tweaked something on a swing, is injured.
Senzatela is a righty pitcher.

Escobar is playing out of position at 2B again.

Avila, with the best OBP in the lineup is batting right ahead of the pitcher
again. The OBP's of #4-7 are pathetic. Greinke, whose OBP is higher than
Ahmed and Jones, will hopefully get them to pitch to Avila.

David Peralta is back on the Disabled List with inflammation in his right shoulder again.

Not good! He has been our best clutch hitter.

Greinke gives up a hit and strikes out two in the first inning.

But he needed 21 pitches to do it.

Greinke called for obstruction at 1B. He didn't move once he covered the bag,
but Blackmun initiated the contact and got the call.

The play started with an Ahmed error.

Runners on 2B & 3B with one out and Greinke gets the next two outs in the 3rd.

Lamb is a negative in the lineup
Because he's hitting .188? Aw!

Every time I see a shot of him during the game, he's grinning and joking, no matter
what's happening on the field. He shows the personality of an adolescent.

Tony Womack used to be the same way. I was happy when Craig Counsell took the
shortstop and leadoff job away from him. I know Womack had some good hits, but
he just didn't seem to take it seriously.

'Just my observations.

Greinke has struck out 6. It's scoreless going to the bottom of the 4th.

His slow curves are getting to them, especially when followed up by a
92 mph fast ball.

Avila with a 2-run double to start the 5th. 4-0 D-backs.

Yes, keep our bullpen on their butts. :)

And the Rockies have action in their bullpen.

Dyson with his league leading 20th stolen base, without
a throw. And Marte walks to load the bases with 1 out.

New pitcher for Colorado in his 5th Major League appearance.

Escobar with a sac fly and its 5-0. And Walker with another HR.
He's hot! A 3-run shot. His first multi-HR game. 8-0 D-backs.

Archie ends it with a walk and a double in the 9th,
but preserves the shutout.

Yes, Jon, with an 8-run lead. 8-0 final.

Tomorrow's game is at 7 PM and Sunday's at 1:00.

Then the All Star break.

Really? 8-0 game and Walker gets a pie in the face? C'mon, it's bad enough on a walk off.

I agree. It's time for the players to move on.

How about giving them a $70 gift certificate at the Brazilian Fogo de Chao steakhouse in Scottsdale?

Now, that would be a tribute! It's Escobar's favorite as Steve & BB keep mentioning.

Here are my favorites of some of the meats they bring around for you to choose from, all during the meal.

Unfortunately, it's a rare treat now that I'm retired and on Social Security. :(

Solid game and they didn't waste a great Greinke outing. Nice win to wash away the bad taste of the Dodgers series
