Back to back walk off Victories for the Dodgers when we had the lead in the 9th. I freaking HATE the Dodgers. Our bullpen seriously sucks donkey balls. What a letdown

Holy jumping' sh*t! Because I had to leave, I didn't witness the second straight bullpen catastrophe.

Until I got back after the game and checked it out. Unbelievable. The Dodgers didn't win because
they're good. They won because we're bad. We handed it to them.

If these two games don't convince the Front Office that our Pitching Coach needs to go, nothing will.

After the total meltdown of Holland the night before, he should have been last night.

I don't disagree. I think TL had determined that Holland is the guy and I assume the feeling was the previous night was a hiccup and all would be well. Holland showed the previous night was basically the beginning of full on crapping the bed.

And Lopez gave up the winning run in the 10th. That means we have no solid 7-8-9 inning closers at this time.
The rest of the bullpen are either specialists or guys who have been demoted.

Even if the young starting pitchers who have been added to the rotation come through, we have a very
incomplete pitching staff.

Our solid, but not always consistent, position players can't carry it by themselves.

Our .500 team is going to have trouble staying there. Oh well, it was semi-fun while
it lasted.

One more thing. How could we pitch to Bellinger in the 10th?

Was it Yoan Lopez's decision? Or catcher Carson Kelly's? If so, why not Lovullo's or Butcher's?
And if Lovullo or Butcher decided, why did they set up Lopez to fail?

Bellinger standing on 1B is a lot less of a threat than him standing in the batter's box.

It was neither Lopez or Kelly who chose to pitch to him. That was TL and/or Butcher decision with TL being the final word. I find it hard to fault the decision. Given the frequency of failure by hitters, even ones who are having MVP caliber seasons, would compel me to pitch to him as well. If there were runners on base, especially scoring position, I may rethink things.

I appreciate your opinion, but I agree with what Steve said earlier in the game, "Bellinger is a threat to hit a
home run every time he comes up." And, beyond opinions, the results bear that out. Were we really surprised?

With runner(s) in scoring position in extra innings of a tie game as the visitor, some hitters are a threat as much
as a Bellinger with the bases empty, but not all. Bellinger is always a threat. I agree with Steve and his insight.

Both he and Gonzo, or BB, know a lot more about it than we fans do.
