Wow. Robbie does not have it today. He was lucky to give up only 2 runs in the 3rd.

A lot of full counts causing a high pitch count. He'll be lucky to go beyond 5 or 6 innings.

Ahmed doubles in a run in the 4th and Walker scores on a wild pitch.

2-2 game.

Doesn't help that their line-up was reinvigorated by facing Godley yesterday. Lovullo really screwed the pooch there.

Robbie is gone after four innings.

The effect of Godley pitching yesterday might be felt for upwards of a week, with the bullpen now being taxed.

Hazen really needs to force Lovullo's hand here.

It’s the walks Ray gave up, not the hitting that killed us. He is very good when he can hit the strike zone but sucks badly when he can’t find the plate. Thus it is all on Ray’s lack of command.

But facing Godley gave their line-up confidence not to offer up at as many pitches outside the strike zone today. Yes, Ray has been struggling with control issues, but those control issues, not to mention the taxing of our bullpen, have been exacerbated by Godley inexplicably starting yesterday despite Ray and Weaver being lined up to start on regular rest yesterday and today respectively. Who the heck starts the worst statistical starter in MLB when there is an opportunity to skip his start?

On a separate note, 20 out of our next 26 games will be on the road. Ouch!

The 6 home games are vs. the Mets and Dodgers at the beginning of June.

How could the League put together a schedule like that for any team?

Here at the end of 7, the Giants have 3 hits and the D-backs have 2. Ho hum.

Three D-backs relievers have retired 9 in a row.

And now, two Giants starters coming off the bench as pinch hitters go down.

1-2-3 again. 4 innings in a row.

Good think Archie and Yoshi weren't called upon.

But in a tie game, they will probably have to be.

'Sad situation when our middle inning relievers are more dependable than our
starters and finishers.

Ray’s lack of control is on him. Yeah, Godley has sucked, but this is on Ray and his lack of control. He sucks when he can’t hit the strike zone, looks great when he can. Ray has hurt the bullpen many times. He is great when he can hit the strike zone. His pitching today is on him, not Godless.

Stupid Murphy
Yeah, Ahmed really got a jump on the steal. Murphy should have pulled back on the sacrifice attempt.

Bob Brenly had "challenged" Nick to get on base to start the inning . . . and he did with a walk.
Good goin', Coach.

And now Ahmed is on 2B with one out as the potential winning run.

Then, on 3B with two outs. 'Close play on the groundout at 1B.

Crawford with a great play at SS to send the game into extra innings.

The D-backs bench is pretty empty. I think Torey emptied it too early,
considering the propensity for the D-backs to play extra inning games.

Fat boy hits one out. Ouch!
As I said, either Archie or Yoshi would have to eventually
pitch following the success of the middle inning relievers.

And the Panda gets his second pinch hit HR in a row.

With Yoshi pitching. We really need to find two new
7th-8th inning relievers during the off season.

The Giants closer is a perfect 11 for 11.

Marte, Escobar and Peralta coming up
in the 10th, a run down.

Giants have not one a series since May 1st, they are just not a good ball club. Losing to them was pathetic, I think we will be a .500 team here pretty soon, I feel like that’s this teams ceiling, offense is just too inconsistent .
