"
Uni" has a new ongoing meaning for the D-backs, in addition to
uniform.
Uni comes from the Latin word meaning "one".
Maybe the players arrived at the stadium on
unicycles.
Unilaterally.
Unified in frustration.
Uni-scorers? How
unique!
Where? Here in the
United States, of course. No crooked numbers, as Steve and BB have referred to it.
Seriously, since August 19th, the D-backs have scored 1 or 2 runs in a game ten times. And, of course, have lost each
of those games.
Overall, since August 19th, our record is
1-13. Hey, Torey. What have you done for us lately? Sad, but true! A winning
percentage of
.071. Even Jake Lamb's batting average, which is sitting at an even
.100, is higher than Torey's %.
And, of course, we lost against the Dodgers lefty superstar, Kershaw, by starting four lefties in the lineup. Including some
young guys. Helluva strategy! In his six innings, Kershaw flirted with a no-hitter and gave up one hit. Child's play!
There is something very wrong with Lovullo. He needs a check-up from the neck up.
