Luke Weaver has allowed 19 runs and 31 hits in his last 24 innings, while Clayton Kershaw has allowed six runs and 19 hits in 30 innings this season. In 137 career at bats against current Diamondbacks hitters, Kershaw is allowing a .228 batting average with 42 strikeouts. The Arizona Diamondbacks continue to find ways to lose and the Dodgers continue to find ways to win. With their ace on the hill, the only option I have here is to back the Dodgers and the RL.

I guess it would be superfluous to post during the game,
considering the extremes of the starting pitchers.

Wouldn't it be cool if we substituted our AAA team?
It probably wouldn't make a difference in the outcome.

Considering his constant lineup changes, Torey would
have a field day. Hmmm, 'field' day. :)

A sense of humor might be the best way to cope with
the D-backs extreme losing streak. 'Giving it a try!

Torey is starting four lefty hitters vs. the lefty super-human Kershaw.

With our starter having given up 19 runs in his last 24 innings.

I have to chuckle. Conceding the game, but providing an alibi. :billthecat:

Interesting call by the official scorer to break up the no-no

I see the Dodgers beat us 5-1. I don't like to use the word
"unbelievable", because it usually means out of the ordinary.

But it is unbelievable how sadly consistent the D=backs
offense has become. Usually one run per game. And that
regularly comes in one of the final few innings.

It doesn't matter if it is against their ace or #5 starter.
Against the ace, it's just a no-hitter for most of the game.

Of course, that was aided by Torey's ignorant move of
starting four lefty batters against the lefty Kershaw, which
even Steve questioned him about (but Torey didn't answer).

I've attributed the losing streak to Torey's passive demeanor,
but the way he sets up players to fail, it looks more like an
active approach. Why? It is not logical! Which means that
there is something in Torey's mentality that is not right.

He is ruining most of the young players on the team and
some of the not-so-young. He is setting the back at least
a half decade.

Could it be that Torey realizes that he is in over his head
and is trying to get fired, which means he'll still get paid
for the remainder of his contract? What a dishonorable
situation.
