Cron with a rare chance to start a game. A game!

He is the only true bopper we have. I continue to wish that he'd be given a chance
to play for at least a week and see what he can do at the Major League level. And
bat higher than 8th in the batting order. He is being set up to fail.

With the DH in the NL now, it's an ideal time to plug Cron in there. He wouldn't
be taking anyone else's job.

You'd think that with his Dad managing our AAA team he'd have some influence
within the organization.

I've been trying to put into one thought the detriment to Torey's pot luck lineups.

Here goes! If a player like Cron is given a chance to play for a week or two, the
results would reflect on him.

With different lineups every day, it's more like Torey trying to hit moving targets,
which is much more difficult. He has to hit on just the right combination game
after game.

I'd rather see the Manager make a damn decision and give it a chance to gel. The
odds would be more in the team's favor, than hoping that the particular combo
Torey selected for each day gives maximum results.

It is a numbers game. Bottom line -- the D-backs are losing under Lovullo's
haphazard system. Have the powers-that-be noticed that?

And his handling of pitchers isn't so hot either. I hope MadBum doesn't regret
coming to the D-backs.

Gallen walks the bases loaded in the 1st . . . and left them loaded.

He threw 25 pItches -- only 10 of which were strikes.

I guess for the D-backs that was a successful pitching performance. :(

Yes, the umps are calling outside strikes. If the Padres can get with
the program, why can't we?

A freaking hate Umps that make up a strike zone. I am ready for auto-balls and strikes

Gallen's curve ball is nice. It got him through the inning.

Hosmer with a 2-out solo HR in the 3rd, after the preceding batter almost left yard.

1-0 Padres.

Cron puts his elbow out and gets hit, but it's a strike.

Torey gets ejected. But he needs to learn that you
don't argue like a gentleman to fire up your team.

Raise your voice! Flail your arms around! Make a
scene! That would be how to fire up a team.

Just like Bob Brenly and Bob Melvin. Too nice to manage.

Starling pokes a hit to RF to drive in a run and it's 1-1, here in the top of the 8th.

He was 10th in the League last season with runners on base.

Escobar just misses a HR. Foul ball.

Runners on 1B & 3B. with no one out.

And a groundout drives in our second run.

Lovullo was thrown out of the game and
we're poking base hits to drive in runs. Hmmm!

The D-backs are the only team without a win so far.

This team is better off without Lovullo. MUCH better off.

Sad they said it was their first lead of the season. Pretty sad start...
