Weaver vs. Cahill. So far, it's a winless road trip. Five runs in the last four games.

Fatty Cahill looks like he lost some of his belly since leaving the D-backs.

Calhoun hits into the shift and is out. Ketel hits against the shift and gets on.

Starling hits into the shift and hits into a forceout. Just beat out a double play.

Hmmm. Is there a pattern here? Hit into the shift and make out. Against the shift . . .

The Freight Train, our RBI leader, whiffs to end the top of the 1st.

Weaver strikes out the side.

I just saw online that the Bay Area is experiencing the worst air quality in the world at this time.

I love visiting San Fran, but wouldn't want to live there. Even if I could afford it.

With night Giants games feeling like Alaska, I'll take the desert anytime! :)

This lineup needs a BALCO boost.
After four innings, each team has just one hit.

Keep hitting into the shift, "sluggers".

The Giants record is slightly worse than the D-backs.

Weaver and Cahill are not exactly All Stars. Boring!

Two doubles and a single to start the bottom of the 5th give the Giants a 1-0 lead and runners on first & third.

Reminder -- Luke Weaver brought a 9.16 ERA into the game. No action in the bullpen. Except for the Giants.

Weaver with a strikeout to leave the runners stranded.

New pitcher for the Giants with one out in the 6th and a D-back on first.

Sac fly by Peralta ties the game. Runner on third with two outs. And he is stranded.

Weaver gives up a solo HR to Yaz's grandson. His grandfather turns 81 today.

2-1 Giants. A walk and Ginkel comes in to pitch. And gives up an immediate
hit. Runners on 1st & 3rd. The Panda pops up to leave them stranded.

Are the D-backs going to get more than their usual one run per game?

And a Giants lefty pitching the top of the 7th.

Again, not hitting. Only 2 hits so far in this game for them.

Cron, hitting for Varsho, in a righty/lefty DH switch, pops up. If only Torey would stick with them as a lefty/righty platoon at DH and give them a chance.

It's not like we're getting help from the 'gotta give at-bats to the Lamb (.118) and Jay (.111) approach'. We know what they can('t) do.

Hector Rondón, in to pitch the 7th, does it again.

What a horrible acquisition! But Corey continues
to go to him during the last three innings.

A 3-run HR to open up a Giants 5-1 lead.

Two innings to go and another D-backs game so
far, losing and scoring only one run.

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting
different results.

López gives up a run in the 8th and it's the Giants leading 6-1 going to the top of the 9th.

Steve just called our bullpen a disaster. Along with our hitters. Only our starting pitchers
are marginal. Oh yeah, the coaching staff is a disaster, too.

I am a Diamondbacks fan and don't like posting this. But I am not going to lie to you or me.

Lovullo's interviews lack inspiration. A "little" problem here. A "little" problem there. No,
Torey, this is the Major leagues and you and your team are a major problem.

It's over! The D-backs were outscored 26-6 on the road trip of five games.

They went 3/29 with runners in scoring position. And the relievers gave up
12 earned runs, with 13 walks, in 14 innings.

With the short season now half over, there are those who say that a Managerial
change should wait. I disagree! A change in the losing mentality is necessary.

The Rockies have lost 9 in a row and come in for 4 games. It should be interesting.
Or maybe not!

I just made the mistake of leaving the TV on for Torey's post-game comments, ahead
of the Mercury game.

"Well, y'know, this was, y'know, a disappointment." Yes, Torey, we know!

Would someone please put a lighted firecracker up his butt to put a little life into him!

Teams tend to reflect the level of enthusiasm of their skipper. No wonder the D-backs
are so lethargic!

I went through a short spell where I boycotted watching their games and posting on
the ASFN D-backs board. I feel another round coming up.

Don't let the D-backs see this. They have a hard enough time making it around three bases.

This team is just noting and unwatchable. They've taken Torey's boring personality. They are who they see. Unless major shake up happens in leadership. This team talent wise could be so much more. But they've have hovered .500 for years now. They will win a few games in a row and lose some in a row. Torey needs to be an assistant coach. But this is at best what we are getting from his teams.
