Jake, leading off the top of the 9th, finishes 0-for-5.

And Ahmed, hitting behind Jake in the lineup batting
9th, has picked it up after his long slump. On base
for the 4th time today.

Everybody pads their batting average at Coors.

Well, almost everybody, except for Mary-had-a-little
Lamb
. I wonder if his Mom is named Mary.

Lamb needs to go already. And Escobar's prolonged slump is disconcerting.

The Rockies 1B blocked our runner's foot from hitting 1B, which should be interference.

But the ruling from Secaucus is that it is a double play. I guess they are basing it on his
foot not touching the bag, even though his foot was blocked.

Anyway, Archie is in to pitch the bottom of the 9th, with a 13-7 lead.

And the Rockies hitter leads off with a single off the wall,
thanks to a good throw by Calhoun in RF.

And a double play to end the game. But the Rockies are
challenging whether Lamb kept his foot on 1B, which he did.

D-backs win two of three in a crazy Coors Field series.

Every D-back joined in with our 18 Coors hits today, except . . . oh, never mind!

Even Escobar and Vogt with their .170's batting averages.

Which is 100 points higher than the not-to-be mentioned . . .

Other than the three of them, including the .222 hitting Ahmed, every other batter
had at least two hits in the Coors game.

Here are the up-to-date D-backs individual batting stats following the slugfest at Coors Field.

Even during the few seasons Lamb put up numbers, he faded terribly for the latter part of each season.

Seriously, he really needs to be gone for the good of the team.

Even Mark Reynolds, despite his high strikeouts and marginal fielding at 3B, continued to be a power threat.

Not so Jake Lamb. The first thing I ever posted about him was his idiotic grin on the field and in the dugout.
There is something wrong with him.

Look at the drop-off in batting averages after the Marte's, Walker and Peralta (and Young on a limited basis),
from .308 to .238. There is no in-between.

We can't afford to have Lamb standing in someone's way for playing time.

Imagine how many valuable at bat's Lamb has taken away from guys who actually have potential like Young and Varsho. Heck even Cron. Imagine what Cron would've done if he'd been given the chances Lamb has

It's a happy thought. But the 'more offense' was because we were at Coors Field.

The umpire's mother-in-law could go 2-for-5 there. When the temperature is in
the 80's, as it was, versus in the 30's, as it will be in a couple of months in Lo-Do.

Maybe we should trade Jake Lamb for the umpire's mother-in-law (though we would likely have to throw in a prospect or two)...
