So... this happens to be a massively important game for the Dbacks. They are up against a pitcher who has an ERA over 7, and a WHiP over 1.6! The Nats and Cardinals are playing today in games that they are supposed to easily win...
The Rockies are now 9 & 22 since the break and are in full-on implosion mode. The Dbacks are facing a hyper-critical 4 game series at home against the Giants starting tomorrow - where they will need a well-rested pen.
So... does Robbie Ray finally step up, pitch and win a game in the fashion he's supposed to? Can he deliver a solid 7 or 8 innings in a game where he's supposed to? I mean, this isn't asking Merle Kelly to deliver in a critical moment... it's Robbie Ray who is now, for better or worse, our #1.

Not enough just to win it... If Robbie does his normal 5 innings 100 pitch performance, and we win, that's not gonna work given that tomorrow we start a crucial series against the Giants.
