the video or article? the video is a joke (the animators who make this series of "news" videos are hilarious). article, not as much:

Apparently in the TSA bill from 2001, the D's wanted govt employees & the R's wanted private employees w/ govt oversight working airport security. The D's won, but an opt out provision was put in.

17 airports already have opted out, and now Orlando's is thinking about it too.

I meant are supporting the folks who are making noise about this ?

So far what I have head is reasonable, if harsh, particularly as they are working on removing the actual human parts from the system but it produces to many false positives yet

    Simple. Have everyone fly naked.

Nidan, let me know when you are planning to fly. I want to make sure I'm at least 10 miles away from Sky Harbor.:D

    Naked ?

    No problem.

Never understood the need to cover myself in colored cloth. Who ever started the trend is a jerk.

To bad we just don't have fur like the rest of the animals.

That would eliminate all kinds of racism, etc., etc. with all the colors we could be. Plus we would be fuzzy!

The terrorists are winning. Excuse me, let me rephrase that. The terrorists ( if they exist ) have won. Living in fear really sucks.

    Maybe you are.

Scared of a bombing ? Not me, I am more scared driving to work and back.

The terrorist ain't winning anything. I am pretty sure I slept in a bed, in a beautiful house, watched a hockey game, and ate some top of the line stew that kings would pay for.

    Mean while back in Afganistan:

The terrorists are not winning, they are not creating this ridiculousness. We are.

Caving into believing our government fear tactics as truth, and not for what it is, more control over their own population. Caving into people who believe that an egg shell society where nothing ever, ever goes wrong is a good thing is what the problem is. (Sorry, life has balance. You cannot be happy unless your are/have been sad.)

You have a greater odds of being struck by lightining than being killed in a terrorist plot.

What next ? War against lightining ? Manditory lightining detectors ? A billion dollar operation to inspect clouds as they cross into US borders ?

"Excuse me Mr. Cloud, you ions are way to out of balance for me to let your through!"

I find this all very confusing. Recently we had cargo planes with bombs on them and it was released that due to TSA policy packages weren't being scanned. This allowed packages with bombs to make it onto planes.

Now a potentially better way of scanning individuals who may be hiding bombs in their underwear and we freak out for multiple reasons. Valid sure, but I would think that if the underwear bomber wasn't such a failure there probably wouldn't be as much opposition as there is.

This is ridiculous, if you people think this is ok I don't want to live in the same country you all live in.

What happens when the first terrorist stuffs a bomb up his butt?

You gonna let them run a camera up there to fly?

Why are we treating millions of innocent people like terrorists?

So what is so wrong about these? What are your specific objections?

Should there not be any security at all?

Agreed. You gotta sacrifice for freedom.

You can be in an egg shell society, AND be as free as you wanna be.

You don't wanna die under any circumstances other than "natural death" (whatever the hell that means) ? Then don't get in your car and drive to work in the morning, or to the food store, etc., etc.

Even then, those clouds and there lightining may come after you and your house while your in it. :D

    Can't trust those clouds.
