New eras are starting in men's basketball at Florida State and Florida A&M under first-year coaches Luke Loucks with the Seminoles and Charlie Ward with the Rattlers.

The former Seminoles' mutual respect and support of each will also be displayed on the court, where the teams are scheduled to play a preseason exhibition game Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Tucker Civic Center.

It will be the schools' first game against each other since December 1991, when the teams were involved in a brawl that led to multiple ejections from both sides.

FAMU was forced to forfeit since it did not have enough eligible players to continue the game at the Tucker Civic Center.

FSU is 5-0 all-time in men's basketball against FAMU dating back to 1979.

The Seminoles are scheduled to release their 2025-26 schedule Tuesday, Sept 9.

Additionally, FSU will also play a preseason game against Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama.
