Merry Draftmas, everyone. I hope you left out milk and cheese curds for Roger Goodell.
This will be the last time I type the words “mock draft” for nearly a year, and I will thank whomever you deem holy for that because, as we’ve established on this very platform already, mock drafts make me want to bash my head into the nearest hard surface like I’m Gus Frerotte in 1997 (go read the Dumbest Mock Draft while you’re at it, please and thank you).
With all that in mind, my life belongs to Big Content, and they won’t let me eat or drink unless I succumb to the peer pressure of writing a final mock draft. So, consider this me channeling my inner Kenny Omega and bidding draft season adieu. Goodbye and goodnight, bang.
Moving on.
It sounds like the Browns are leaning toward taking Hunter over Abdul Carter. Which doesn’t make a ton of sense to me, considering having Carter and Myles Garrett on the same defense would be like having a hurricane and a tornado rip through a town simultaneously. But, leave it to the Browns to make the wrong decision.
Trade details:
Ben Johnson might make Jeanty wear 26 and insist on only calling him Jahmyr. With all the re-tooling Chicago has done to their offensive line this offseason, you better believe Johnson and Ryan Poles want to move up to get Jeanty.
And so, Carter just falls in the laps of the Patriots. Their defense is all but set at this point, which will allow them to make a trade for a receiver.

The Saints have almost zero marketability, and they need a long-term answer at quarterback, which they currently do not have. Kill two birds with one stone and give fans something to be hopeful and excited about with Sanders.
The Raiders clearly believe in Geno Smith, but their receiving corps looks like the 2015 Lakers lineup. Get him a real WR1.
Make your strength stronger, I guess? The Jets are in a very weird spot where there are a lot of good players available, but not necessarily in positions of need. I wouldn’t be surprised if they trade down here, but they take Graham in this instance to strengthen their front.
The Panthers need help at just about every level of their defense. They get Walker to be their new commander-in-chief in the middle.
Jacksonville can circle back and take a secondary player in the second round - more so now that they have an extra second-round pick. Take Warren and get an offensive weapon for Trevor Lawrence.
Whomever the quarterback is needs better protection than the collection of Giants quarterbacks last season.
Considering just about every 49ers star from the last half-decade has left, they need another high-end defensive tackle to replace Javon Hargrave.
Yeah, let’s get weird. If there is any team that will reach a little for a running back, it will be Jerry Jones, who will probably be filled with rage after not being able to trade up for Jeanty.
The Dolphins’ current left tackle is just Mike McDaniel praying to whatever God will listen, so taking Membou to replace Terron Armstead in the first round is the way to go.
After their division rivals steal Tyler Warren, the Colts could take Colston Loveland, but the need and impact of an edge rusher is far greater than that of a tight end.
It feels like the Falcons have needed a top edge rusher since the Clinton administration.
Would genuinely love to see what Jonathan Gannon can do with Jahdae Barron.
The Bengals need help at all levels on defense, and getting a big, fast interior disruptor is a good start.

They definitely shouldn’t do this, but if any team would panic, overpay on a trade, and overdraft a quarterback, it’s the Giants.
The Buccaneers need some youth in the middle of their defense.

Yeah, someone is going to take him in the first round, and the connective tissue with his former offensive coordinator from Alabama, Tommy Rees, now being the OC in Cleveland makes this make too much sense to not happen.

And just like that, the Bills land a star cornerback to put opposite their other star cornerback, Christian Benford.
Loveland is a good player, but Justin Herbert is throwing to the cast of The Vampire Diaries out wide, and they need a receiver. That doesn’t matter, though. Jim Harbaugh will bring in his former Wolverine tight end and try to run the ball 40 times a game.
The Packers need a legitimate No. 1 receiver. They currently have four No. 2s.
Starks becoming the Anakin to Harrison Smith’s Obi-Wan will be very cool. That relationship ended well, right? I don’t know, I don’t watch Star Wars.
Considering the Texans have gone out of their way to make their offensive line worse this offseason, they should go out of their way to make it better.
Amos would immediately be the starter for the Rams, and they could throw a Day pair of Day Three picks at the Dolphins to bring back Jalen Ramsey.
A talented, young edge rusher to complement veterans like Kyle Van Noy and Nnamdi Madubuike would be a welcome addition to the Ravens’ front seven.
A trio of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Golden would be absolutely deadly.
The Commanders traded for Marshon Lattimore ahead of the trade deadline, but injuries seemed to have a lasting effect on him for the remainder of the year. Getting a healthy Lattimore and pairing him with Revel gives Washington a very good cornerback tandem.
The Steelers seem to be listening to trade offers for George Pickens. Considering he and DK Metcalf serve the same role, along with the fact that the Steelers extended Metcalf, trading Pickens makes sense. Draft Burden to be your other starting wide receiver and create a new long-term receiving tandem.
Putting Williams next to Chris Jones gives Kansas City an even stronger front and takes a page from what the Eagles just did to them in the Super Bowl.
With Mekhi Becton gone, Zabel can come in and move over to guard.
