The Ohio State basketball team has had an off-season of ups and downs. Several players have opted to enter the transfer portal such as Austin Parks, Evan Mahaffey, Meechie Johnson, Aaron Bradshaw, and most recently, Sean Stewart. Mahaffey left for Akron, Parks decided to move up the road to Toledo, and Meechie decided to head back to South Carolina for a second time. We now know where Aaron Bradshaw will play next season as it was announced that he'll head to Memphis to play for Penny Hardaway.
Bradshaw spent just one season with the Buckeyes after one year with the Kentucky Wildcats where he was a five-star recruit and the No. 1 center and No. 5 overall player in the 2023 class. He never quite lived up to the billing at Kentucky or with Ohio State. Now he hopes a third school in three years will unlock the potential that made him a McDonald's All-American.
Bradshaw will join a team that went 29-6 and earned a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament before being ousted in the first round by No. 12 seeded Colorado State.
Head coach Jake Diebler and Ohio State have a good core of players coming back next season including Bruce Thornton, Devin Royal, and John Mobley Jr. The team has also added center Christoph Tilly and forward Brandon Noel. However, there is still work to be done to make this roster a contender in the Big Ten.
