Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes had a terrible weekend by losing four players, including starting cornerback Colton Hood. However, they scored a win by landing former five-star and Florida State transfer Hykeem Williams on Tuesday.
Colorado will have one of the deepest receiver rooms in the country. After losing Travis Hunter, Jimmy Horn Jr., LaJohntay Wester, and others to the NFL, the Buffs needed a reboot to stay competitive in 2025. Sanders and his staff had tried to do that by added Joseph Williams and Sincere Brown during this cycle.
Williams was noted as a top-five receiver and No. 24 player overall in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports. He was also an ESPN 300 player at Stranahan High School (Florida) and is the latest player pulled in by Coach Prime's from his home state. However, Williams' two seasons with Florida State was a rollercoaster ride with just 21 catches for 267 yards and two touchdowns.
Colorado beat out several Power Four schools to add Williams. He'll come to Boulder with two years of eligibility remaining.
