This is not a playoff team. I don’t think they can win next week. Sorry, but the sooner that’s accepted the better this team can be next year. Browning is fast. He’s also not strong and not a good tackler. He’s only marginal agility-wise. I’d start Burch. He’s the future. He may not have as much immediate production as Browning, but long term he has terrific potential. Benson has to get the most carries by far. He’s either as good as I think or it’s time to move on. He has to get the carries and passes. Those passes shouldn’t just be outlets. DTD, like Burch, should be playing safety, not Thompson when only 2 Safeties are on the field. It goes without saying Nolen starts. Also that leaves Robinson outside before deciding if it’s wise to move on from him.

If they beat Seattle, which would be very impressive, they will keep their playoff hopes alive for another week, as slim as they may be. Perhaps starting JB will give them an edge they wouldn't otherwise have. Seattle hasn't played him yet, so I think that's to the Cardinals advantage.

Slight disagreement. These guys need to earn it. I don't like the idea of benching better players to play unproven younger guys. The goal is to win games. DTD has his role and until he can beat JT out for the starting spot, he is in that role. Nolen already carving out his role. Burch will need to get better in space and rushing from the EDGE before he can totally unseat Browning. NFL teams need to compete with each other. That is one of the best things that the teams in the NFC West do.

What does Thompson do better than DTD?

Apparently he practices better? Plays opposite of Budda better? Tackles better?

I guess I haven't gotten the impression from Gannon or Rallis that they play worse guys over better guys for "reasons". Nichols has been benched behind a bunch of guys who get paid a lot less. Collins has to battle to keep his spot. Will Johnson rose to the top of the CB depth chart quickly. Burch has to battle. DRob got less reps when Nolen came in and killed it. STV was starting last year over higher drafted guys.

Let’s hope the trend continues at the Qb position.

hopefully, that holds true for Brissett and Murray.

Players also have to know their responsibilities on every play. This is something that is difficult for fans to know. Safety is probably the hardest position on defense to learn. You have a lot of responsibilities as a safety, and you have to make decisions on who to cover depending on the WR routes. Playing DL, not so many decisions.

we have a shot at seattle - specially if we get benson back - if you can convert on 3rd down you're good - we convert more than the church - not just against dallas neither - but we have to start brissett

I understand that point of view, but the only way Burch gets better, faster is to play meaningful snap. As to Thompson there’s zero chance he’s re-signed so why not let the guys who will be here get used to pairing up

Because you need to play your best players, not provide on the job training unless you are tanking like Cleveland.

Trade/ cut Murray in off season. Roll with brissett next season, add to the oline in the draft and find a way to either draft, trade for or sign the QOF

Burch got 26 game snaps vs Dallas. He has 234 snaps on the year on defense. That is 20 less than Zaven Collins. If he hasn't shown he is the better option at the EDGE with that volume, he isn't. It's not like he isn't getting reps.

Same with DTD. He has received 269 snaps on the year. If he is not showing he is the better option, that's on him.

Burch is a rookie under team control for another three seasons after this one. Taylor-Demerson is under team control for another two seasons after this one. What is the rush?

Are JG and Monti ready to give up on the season though? JG especially needs wins given that this is his third season as head coach and the team still hasn't had a .500 or better season (let alone make the playoffs).

Potentially moving on from Robinson already? But he's sort of in his first season given how he missed the majority of last mention not to mention that he was a first round pick. That kind of talk seems a bit premature to me.
