I'm not a fan of auto racing, but this was immensely entertaining and well worth seeing on the big screen. One of most entertaining movies I've seen this year.
Heard it was awesome but would’ve been a superior movie with a twilight/grayish Matt Damon cause he’s better with dialogue.

Thought it was fine. Kinda felt like Pitt sleepwalked thru a good bit of it. I was expecting him to shine like Moneyball, but the script for this wasn’t anything near that movie.

Overall, played like an old school studio programmer that the industry needs more of.

It was exactly what I was looking for in a summer blockbuster type movie, and the cinematography and sound were excellent. I was worried about the run time, but it rarely lagged.

You knew exactly where the movie was going, but it was still good movie theater fun.

How does it stack up against Ford vs Ferarri?
Depends on what you’re looking for. I think Ford v. Ferrari’s better as a whole, mostly because, dramatically speaking, F1 is pretty paint by numbers as a sports movie. But there’s no doubt F1’s action is better. I just think the Damon/Bale tandem is more fun to watch than F1’s action and a good enough but nowhere close to great Pitt performance.

There is definitely some nostalgia watching Pitt getting older - his performance is a reflection of his age and what appears to be his general demeanor these days. I don't think this was a hard one for Brad to pull off.

I was actually kinda disappointed with him in the movie because of this. Felt like he was a little on autopilot and that’s what held the movie back for me, making it merely a solid-ish throwback sports movie versus something special.

Yeah, definitely cruise control. Hard to blame him in the sense he really doesn't have anything to prove to anyone. (Other than the fact that he's apparently done some horrible things to his family).

Like most aging athletes, there are flashes of their former greatness but never sustained at this point.

Saw this tonight.
Fantastic.
When Pitt first hit the scene there was talk of his resemblance to Redford and expectations that he would assume that type of role in Hollywood.
Imo this was it. A very Redfordesque role and performance.
It wasn't what I expected. But it was much more than I anticipated.
They nailed the excitement level in the final race.
Probably going to watch this one again.
