stout recently gave me an idea...

Ever had a movie (besides LXG) spoiled?

I was listening to a movie review on local station KXAM about The Perfect Storm, when it had just come out in theaters. The reviewer talked about the characters and the acting in the film and then said "Of course, anyone familiar with the story knows that in the end all of the men died at sea." Gee thanks, but what about those that weren't familiar with the incident or the book which covered it? UGH.

Then, the week that the Sixth Sense was released, a student in a speech class my wife was in at MCC spoiled the movie for the entire class. The teacher had been specific - tell about any book or movie, but do not give away major plot secrets, etc. The guy got up there and basically told the entire movie, which upset the entire class. Idiot!

Big deal, I really don't think the point of the movie was to surprise anyone...everyone I knew who saw it KNEW before they went in that everyone died.

Funny, but one of my favorite movies of all-time.

Has anyone else noticed that a good number of people whisper louder than they talk? Kind of defeats the purpose at a movie!

I spoiled Lord of the Rings for my stepmom, but that's only because she was pissed at the end of Fellowship.

"That's it!??" she said.

I told her there were three more. She was also pissed about Gandalf, I told her not to worry, LOL.
