Edurado Escobar traded to the brewers

I know they stink this year, but why do they always seems to clean house when they are down? Escobar was the best player on this team and lets just get rid of him as we are having a down year. Doesn't make sense to me.

Free Agent at the end of the year. Saves Kendrick $2.4 Million.

We won 31 games WITH HIM. We'd have won 29 without him. Will miss him and hope he resigns, but no reason NOT to trade him.

They got next to nothing in return. Ugh.

It's an awful trade. Not a single prospect in the brewers top 30. These guys are in the 50ish range.

I would be dancing if I was a Brewers fan

But surely more than one team was interested in renting him, and they could have at least picked up one prospect with any hope of an MLB future. I have lost faith in Hazen.
