I am really looking forward to this one. we all know the story. But its been a while since Depp has stepped away from Jack Sparrow...and while I hear there may be another Pirates in the future..its good to see Johnny back working again after his family issues.
I think his particular talent will deliver an Ebenezar Scrooge such as we have never seen before.

I think the only Johnny Depp movies I've seen are "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and "Sleepy Hollow."

In the first one, I thought he was great. It really showed his acting ability

Depp, in my opinion, is a singular talent. He likes playing characters that have a bit of pizazz to them but he is excellent in those roles. Thats why he was so successful with Jack Sparrow and Willy Wonka...he can take a character and totally recreate it into his own...so I think this movie will be entertaining even though we have all seen the story a thousand times.

We liked him in Benny & Joon and Edward Scissorhands. And while it's a very mediocre movie, we also enjoy him in The Tourist.

The movie, "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" sold me on Johnny Depp's talent. I wish he had stuck to more serious roles.
