Watson undoubtedly cost too much money. He was signed to a mutiyear contract. Unless the Suns do a creative trade with Pavlovic they are looking for a veteran minimum player.

So the PACERS are gonna look something like:

TJ Ford
Earl Watson
Travis Deiner
Dahntay Jones
Brandon Rush
Danny Granger
Mike Dunleavy
Troy Murphy
Tyler Hansbrough
Jeff Foster
Roy Hibbert

They've got some speed in the backcourt.
Jones will guard the other teams best player 1 thru 3.
They've got some good size and rebounding up front.
Granger is 100% stud.....a well deserved All-Star last year.
If Dunleavy can bounce back and reproduce his '07/'08 numbers Indiana could make some noise in the East IMO.

That team is awful. Slow, undersized, and terrible defensively is no way to win NBA games, son.

Wow, if thats your idea of a team that can make some noise Im actually glad Steve Kerr is our GM. No wonder I never agree with most of your posts, you have a very strange idea of what makes for a good team.

Sheesh fellas, I said they could make some noise in the East. I didn't say they were gonna challenge any of the elite teams over there.
I didn't say they were a good team either.
How are they undersized? You be smokin something Mau Tosi?

Hibbert is 7'2" 280
Foster is 6'11" 250
Murphy is 6'11" 245
Hansborough is 6'9" 250
Dunleavy is 6'8"
Granger is 6'8"....
As i said, if Dunleavy can fully recover from injury he can easily avg 20+ ppg again along with Granger who's a monster, and TJ Ford who can score they could show some nice improvement IMO. They've already gotten better defensively by adding D.Jones in the backcourt....and they've got some rebounders. They still lack a big man who can demand a double team though.
Gives me an idea for a vbookie.
I think they make the playoffs health permitting.

I post on numerous message boards(sports, entertainment etc..) and without a doubt ASFN contains some the rudest, egocentric, self absorbed posters i've ever encountered.(most everyone is cool but the people who i'm calling out know who they are)...what a shame.

Lighten up people....and when you disagree with others it doesn't give you the green light to become Mr Pompous A$$hole.
Do you even know what a discussion means?
"Respectfully disagree" is a term that few here seem to understand unless you're a member of the Good 'ole Boys club.

^Sorry Mojo that team just lacks enough pigment to be any good. What was the last team with 4 white rotation players to make the playoffs? Id be interested to know that, I bet its been a while.

Koufos and Fesenko played some games too, IIRC.

Im sorry- I shouldve specificed- white Americans. The white Euros seem to generally be much better than our home grown whities. I guess in my brain I sort of think of Dirk as "a Euro" whereas someone like Troy Murphy is "White." I guess thats a silly distinction but one that I do subconsciously make in my brain.

For instance, who would be on your All NBA White American guy team? Something like:

C Brad Miller/Chris Kaman/Matt *****
PF David Lee/Troy Murphy/Kevin Love
SF Mike Dunleavy/Luke Walton
SG Mike Miller/Jason Kapono/Kyle Korver
PG Kirk Heinrich/Steve Blake/Luke Ridnour

...I think I just created Larry Birds dream team.

Chambers, Majerle, Horny, Rambis?

The Suns did have some pasty white teams back in the day. I heard Woody Paige on Around the Horn accuse the Suns F.O. of being intentionally racist back then after the drug scandal. I guess he was asserting the Suns tried to get as many white players as they could to try to restore their image in a conservative town, not sure I really buy that though, seems more like happenstance to me.

Well then i'd take the last Jazz season with Malone (I think it was 02/03), they had at least Stockton, Ostertag, Harpring and Padgett (I can't remember if Borchardt played) and made the playoffs. :D
