This is one of the players the Pacers waived to pursue Ayton in free agency.

There is a chance Washington Jr. could learn to be a facilitator.

Washington Jr. (22) is an undrafted 2nd year player. He is listed as a point guard.

Washington Jr. had 7 3-pointers in a game against the Pelicans.

Here is more on what Gerald Bourguet had to say about Washington Jr. on a podcast.

This looks like a real good pick up for a 2 way. He looks like he already has an NBA 3 point shot which goes a long way.

He's young and hopefully will improve, pretty bad defensively, and not very good offensively either outside his 3 pointer, but it would not surprise me if he outplayed Damien Lee.

It's especially exciting to get him on a two-way contract. He has NBA experience, plus the Suns keep their 15th roster spot open.

This is a nice get imo. Not a speedster or quick twitch athlete. But smooth and seems to have a nice quick release and stroke.

I vote Afro over the man-bun.

That is pretty dang funny.

Although, Washington Jr. didn't play well in the Las Vegas summer league, he seems well worth a two-way contract based on his play last season with the Pacers.

I'm still hoping for Olivier Sarr on a two-way contract, but the Suns may be waiting for other options.

Also, Ish Wainright is still out there.

I thought we converted Ish's contract at the end of last year. It was a 2 year deal.

Washington's assist numbers are certainly lacking, but I will take a guy who can average nearly 10 a game and is still young enough to improve as a 15th man on the roster.

He can't be as brutal to watch as Elfrid Payton.

I don't know for sure, but I thought Wainright is a free agent or could become one. He is on a qualifying offer, if I'm reading it correctly.

No doubt he is better than Payton, although Washington's assist to turnover ratio is a concern.

Washington could be a good find and if JJ wanted him I'm down, for now, Until they try to play him at PF.
It doesn't hurt that he gets to learn from a Point God.

I swear i heard the Suns signed Ish? Guess not
I like his size, if he can fit in he's someone to put in front of Giannis.

This appears to be the Suns move to backup PG. I don't expect another move at this spot. If so, the Suns either think they found a diamond in the rough or don't think they need that much help at this position. If the Suns don't get KD, they still need some FC help. It's going to be interesting to see if they make any other moves.
