The Buffalo Bills as a collective should be thrilled with how the 2025 draft looked for the franchise. They were able to acquire top talent in key positions of need while also finding value in the later rounds.
One of the key calling cards for Buffalo, though, was the team's ability to bring in athletic individuals to help their team out.
In the case of first round cornerback Maxwell Hairston, the Bills may have gotten one of the most athletic players in the entire draft, not just at the cornerback position. And the leader of the athletic scoring sheet can't stop raving about him.
RAS creator Kent Lee Platte publicly shared his personal assessment of Hairston, who dominated NFL Combine testing as part of a X/Twitter breakdown.
"My favorite pick day one in terms of the player, the team fit, and the profile is Maxwell Hairston," said Platte. "I've been higher than him than most, but that's kinda the point. He's a scrappy corner with top tier athleticism who makes it his business to be all up in his opponents' business."
Hairston is a raw corner, but has one of the fastest times in the forty to go through. He joins a secondary that is well-coached under head coach Sean McDermott. If they can get the most out him with leadership around like Tre'Davious White, the Bills might have come out with a steal in the 30th overall pick.
And that alone should be enough to get excited about with the intangibles that come with a player like Hairston.
