Unfortunately I still know some reasonable people that continue to support trump. It’s not a dying breed.

I think most of them just won’t admit that they were wrong. Why should they? The president never does.

So is this overstock.com CEO story just a big squirrel diversion? He was just on CNN he said Jim Comey knew, said Peter Strzok was involved, said the FBI was spying on HRC and Trump. That the FBI told him to have an affair with Butina to help their investigation.

He was rambling, incoherent at times, downright weird.

Hands down, this is the quintessential, most precise depiction and explanation of the bizarro adoration showered upon Trump from white evangelicals... and, for what it's worth, perfectly, 100% illustrates my views!

“This election, while certainly unique and unprecedented in American history, is also the latest manifestation of a long-standing evangelical approach to public life. This political playbook was written in the 1970s and drew heavily from an even longer history of white evangelical fear. It is a playbook characterized by attempts to “win back” or “restore culture.” It is a playbook grounded in a highly problematic interpretation of the relationship between Christianity and the American founding. It is a playbook that too often gravitates toward nativism, xenophobia, racism, intolerance, and an unbiblical view of American exceptionalism.”

Though I obviously don’t follow the same spiritual path as you or the author, this line of thinking is directly reflective of my disbelief in anyone purporting to call themselves a “Christian” and supporting trump.

Yea... but don’t “disbelieve”. The people you don’t “believe” truly, sincerely and 100% believe themselves, that they are fully Christian and that Trump has been delivered to us by God.
It’s real... and as Pastor Zahn artfully describes, its frighteningly wrong.
