BA loves him from their time together in Indy and he grades out as one of the best pass blocking RB's in the NFL. Could he be a FA target this offseason to replace Mendenhall?

I wold say its a strong possibility. He's a somewhat better version of Mendenhall.

I think the Cards are more likely to stick with Mendenhall than sign Donald Brown.

Why? Low yards per carry and high fumble %. We can do much better.

We could, but I am not sure that we will. The Mendenhall/Ellington split last year was Mendenhall getting 43% of snaps and Ellington getting 37%. Most would expect that ratio to be flipped next year which has the Cardinals looking to filla RB role which will be in on 37% of the offensive snaps. You just aren't going to pay what it would cost for a RB better than Mendenhall to fill a role that gets 37% of snaps. The other option would be the draft, but I can't see the Cardinals spending a top 4 pick on a RB who is filling a marginal role. 6th rounder...maybe.

I'd be fine with that, I actually wanted him in the draft over Beanie but Indy selected him a few spots before us.
