4-1 as Clayton gets an infield rbi. Bases still loaded with one out.

Diamondbacks win 5-3! Halsey gets the win and Lyon the save. Tomorrow night should be a great game with Webb vs Peavy.

Cintron with the game winner in the 9th. Alex also had a huge rbi with a double in the 7th off of Peavy to tie it at one.

Props also to Webb. He is pitching with so much confidence. This is the Brandon Webb we were hoping for last year but never showed up.

More good news, the Dodgers lost again to the Rockies.

In case anyone cares. We snuck out a come from behind win. 2-1 Koplove gets the win.

To bad Webb couldn't get his 4th win of the year. He definitely deserved it.

For sure....

Webb is pitching good though. I like what our pitching looks like. Hopefully Glaus resting is a good thing and he can pick up his average and get this teams Offense going.

The bats were dead again tonight.

Webb didn't even touch 90 MPH on any pitches, at least according to the thing in the ballpark. His control was good enough, and he never put himself in jams, so he pitched well.

Cintron was great...obviously.

This team needs Cruz back, Q in CF is alright, but certainly not a starting CF for a hopefully playoff team.

We need to find a way to get Cintron's bat into the lineup with more consistency...

Many of us have called for Cintron to get more PT ever since the season began. While there's no question that he was bad last year, he performed extremely well in winter ball (he had skipped playing the previoius off season), came to ST 15 lbs lighter and with a better attitude, tore up spring training, and has done well in his brief April appearances.

One of BoMel's post game comments about Cintron is truly perplexing.... "on any other team he'd be a full time player"

Just who is our "irreplaceable" shortstop??? I didn't think the Dbacks shortstop was named Tejeda, Jeter, Renteria, Wilson, or Izturis.

Clayton is a much better defender. How many games did the Dbacks lose because of errors last year?

I would start Cintron at second and let Counsell be the utility guy. Counsell is a known commodity, Cintron has so much more upside and is red hot right now.

How can you sit the guy that drove in your only 2 runs. This team has been struggling to score runs the last few games only an idiot would sit Cintron now.

Clayton's defense is vastly overrated by our broadcasters and the Dbacks front office (of course the party line is that he's "one of the best"). Admitedly, Clayton fields the ball that he can get to steadily... in other words... he makes the routine plays that all MLB shortstops are expected to make. However, his range isn't all that great.

There's more to fielding than fielding %

If Melvin would just put Clayton 8th in the order, I'd probably handle it better.

I really want to see Cintron this year, though. He had one great year with errors and one lousy year with errors. I give everyone on the team a mulligan for last year. It's impossible to be excellent (other than someone at RJ's level) when you are part of such a miserable losing team. It just rubs off on everyone.

Cintron will be arb eligible next year. Let's see how he does this year. They might be able to make a nice trade for him if they give him enough playing time.

There are also rumors of the Cubs looking to trade for Cintron with Nomar out for possibly the season. Id like to see Cintron get more time, but his fielding is still a question mark. Its nice to be the league leader in turning double plays, after last year's debacle. Im not sure we should really mess with that too much.

One of the main factors in turning double plays is having your pitchers put a LOT of guys ON base. The other factor is having pitchers that induce ground balls; thus, the Dbacks automatically figure to rank high in that area no matter who plays the keystone positions.

Of course, but we also had pitchers that put guys on and induce grounders last year too, but a large percentage of possible double play balls last year went to waste because of the lousy defense. Its great to see the double plays actually being executed this year.

Glaus doubles in Cintron, 1-0 in the first. How about Cintron tagging up and advancing to second? That was big.

Estes is driving me crazy. You don't have to nibbble corners and be cute when you've got a 6-1 (correct that) 8-1 lead. Just throw strikes and keep the bullpen off the field as long as possible. Garcia's got an .077 average and he's pitching him like he's Barry Bonds.

If he takes another batter to 3-2 I'm gonna lose it.
