His AVG, OPS, and SLG are currently sitting at career lows (for a full season).

He was DFA by Miami in the midst of a 12 for 25 (.480) run with 4 HR and 9 RBI.

The Diamondbacks are on the hook for $2.25M for Josh Bell, whom they acquired from the Marlins.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Josh Bell could be in Phoenix by tomorrow, but since it’s a cross-country move for Bell, he wants to respect that process of a sudden transition from one place to another. Lovullo hopes Christian Walker will miss only 3 weeks, if not less.

This is still a great move even when Walker comes back. The Dbacks can basically hang on to him til the roster expansion.

Maybe 10 days with McCarthy or Newman down even if Walker comes back early but a bench power hitting lefty is super valuable. We would be screwed it Pederson went down at DH

Is there a move that needs to be made? I’m guessing Pavin is being sent down? Bells defense makes me nervous as hell but to be fair I’ve not seen him play much

Torey Lovullo said Josh Bell will at least play against every left-handed starter once Christian Walker returns. "He’s definitely going to play," Lovullo said. "He’s not going to go back to the bench."
