The Diamondbacks reached agreements with all eight of their arbitration-eligible players, a source said on Thursday, Jan. 8.
All eight already were set to return to the Diamondbacks this season; the agreements simply lock in their salaries and allow both the team and the player to avoid an arbitration hearing.
The eight players and their salaries for 2026 are as follows: catcher Gabriel Moreno ($2.525 million), first baseman/designated hitter Pavin Smith ($2.25 million), outfielders Alek Thomas ($1,962,500) and Jake McCarthy ($1.525 million), starting pitcher Ryne Nelson ($3 million) and relievers Ryan Thompson ($3.95 million), Kevin Ginkel ($2.725 million) and A.J. Puk ($3.1 million).
