The Colorado Buffaloes have been riding out the transfer portal waves during this cycle. After adding four players this week, Deion Sanders and the Buffs look to reload after losing the same number the previous week. One of the key contributors lost was cornerback Colton Hood, who was done after one season at Colorado.

The Auburn transfer now heads back to the SEC after announcing on Friday he'll be joining Tennessee, according to On3.

The latest addition for the Vols is a good one. Hood played in 13 games with one start in the Buffs secondary. He racked up 24 tackles (one for loss) with two interceptions and six PDUs. The emerging talent was heading into his Sophomore season as a projected starter.


Hood, a former four-star, was a big recruit for the Tigers as the No. 42 cornerback and the No. 383 player in the nation, according to 247Sports. He joined Coach Prime and the Buffs as a package deal along with his brother, Brandon, and cousin, Trenton. The Trio hit the portal at the same time for an undisclosed reason during last week's 2025 NFL Draft.


Sanders and his staff look to pull in a few more top players and are hosting nine four-and-five-star talents in Boulder this weekend. They'll look to make up the deficit before the 2025 season
