This team is toast. Sell sell sell!! Time to get some more young players for the future. I am really starting to wish they had traded Lawler while he had higher value after they signed Perdomo and Marte to extensions earlier this year.

Getting boat raced by the Pirates at home should be it for Torey. Why does Hazen put up with the many underperforming roster?

Unless Torey has some compromising pictures of Hazen, today has to be the last one for Lovullo as DBacks manager. Stick a big fork in him - he's done. DBacks may play close to .500 ball the rest of the way, but they are going to be a lot farther away from the playoffs in 2025 than they were last year. Let's face it. They suck.

The buck stops with Torey.
Yup. We've established that Torey is no longer a good fit for this club and needs to go. We're already there. At a certain point, it becomes more of Hazen's issue than Torey's because the decision to get rid of him just has to happen. Cut your losses and move on. This roster will attract a good managerial prospect

So do the wins, apparently
No one is giving up a good arm this time of year. Not until the deadline. That’s what he said anyway.
Unless, ya know, you actually trade someone with perceived value (which Lawlar had all year until the last 3 weeks) in return.

I don't mind a .500 team if that's your talent level, but this team has enought talent but they just keep shooting themselves in the foot. The bullpen is an obvious problem, but they only have three dependable starters and their defense has been sub-par compared to last year's. Add in a streaky offense, and here's where we are.

I’m not sure this roster is actually underperforming.
Disagree. Aside from maybe the bullpen, the only reason why this team wouldn't be the favorite to win the division is because of the bloated Dodger's roster. We have two guys in the line up who are MVP contenders with multiple former all-stars, excellent fielders everywhere, and four starters that could be #1s or #2s on other teams. And I think J-Mart will hit his potential as a top-flight closer at some point once he masters the mental game of pitching. Torey is either misusing his players or not instilling confidence in them. Reminds me of the Terry Porter-coached Suns who just looked lackadaisical
