Some more "reason":

We could go injury-free. Or not.

Our opponents could go injury-free at key positions. Or not.

Kingsbury could outcoach Wilks by a factor of a-gazillion to one. Or not.

We could get lucky with our draft picks and UDFA's. Or not.

We could catch lucky breaks from the refs. Or not.

The weather could bite us in the backside in key games. Or not.

Summer is for fans to predict the future; yet there are so many variables that can make the smartest of us look like idiots.

We can (& should) hope that Murray will rule, Murphy will be All Pro and some unknown rookie will emerge as a future hero. But trying to predict pro football outcomes is a fool's errand.

Just watch, hope and enjoy.

Great post! Pretty much it in a nutshell & should be re-posted every preseason.

Last year they were 100% correct on calling the cards the worst heading into the season.
Denial isn’t a River
As fans we have rose colored glasses
Expecting anything more than 5 wins is Kool Aid talk
Everyone knew we were the worst team heading into last season , and I'm not sure who you're addressing about denial because I have never said anything about us being this 14 win play off team, I've stated before if we win more then 3 I'll be very happy , my point of my original post was ESPN sux, not sure why you're so upset about that lol

Oh, but a cold glass of Kool Aid sure tastes good right now! At least I will say one thing, the front office at least got me to renew Sunday Ticket this year. If we had stood pat I was out this season.

Interestingly here is where the Cardinals rank in PFF's fantasy guide (came out today):

Murray: QB #13
DJ: #7
Fitz #35
Kirk #36
Isabella #72
RSJ #34
Clay #40
DEF #25
K Unranked

My thoughts:

QB: That is aggressive

RB: DJ's ranking probably correct. Finished #11 last year

WR: Kirk finishes higher than Fitz. Isabella sneaks into the top 65

TE: Swap Clay and RSJ rankings

DEF: Seems low

K: In theory the position scores with the #13 QB and the #7 RB but no faith in Zane keeping the job through the season

And the other rooks Hakeem Butler/ Keshaun Johnson make some dents as well.

That is low for Murray in fantasy, depending on the scoring of course. He is going to have a TON of opportunity to score garbage time points and will get a ton of offensive snaps. He is a risk, absolutely, but in terms of fantasy, he can be a league winner because of the opportunity he will have in this offense (volume alone).
