Please let him add him either this season via trade or next off-season in free agency. This guy would be a monster in this system.

Kareem Martin had pretty much the same profile as Clowney

It means nothing at all

Green's worst full season is better than Arnold's best.
Lol, this ain't a HOF discussion, we're comparing what they do at this point.

The best thing you can say about Green is that he plays on the outside. He's clearly the 4th best receiver on the team, and a legit TE (other than Maxxx or Arnold) would have been a much better investment than Green.

There was big talk about AJ all off season, and so far he's been good for about 35 yards a game and a holding penalty.

The operative words: "so far".

Could ya maybe give Green a chance till game five? Come on, new system and a young QB who is maturing before our eyes but this transition is not going to occur overnight when the QB already has a rapport with some existing WR he has had time to gel with. I know this is not your intent but damn... some people here seem to be wishing that Green fails lol

Well yes, we're talking about what he's done so far. Last year he averaged right around 33 yards receiving per game, so hopefully we're not seeing more from a guy that is washed, and the guy that went over 1k yards in 2017 is somewhere around there.

He seems to be vibing ok with Rondale. I was really hoping that all the glowing reports of a rejuvenated AJ Green were accurate. Guys like Louis Riddick were talking 2015 AJ Green!! Hopefully it's a matter of comfort with the system, but at this point I'm not seeing it.

You might have a very very valid point... camp at Cards' HQ, get some signs and I frankly would be stoked at seeing you riding with Lisa Matthews on that golf cart talking about how you made it happen Chopper :)

What I do see is other guys getting open, much like Watt allowing CJ to bawl... Green has a presence which is obviously affecting the game and the man did score which is something at this point

Who also had more uncatchable balls thrown his way then any other WR in the league in 2020

His TD last week showed some pretty good toughness and explosiveness. Barring an injury should get better as time in O progresses.

There are some silly arguments here.

Arnold played a lot of snaps lined up as a receiver. Mostly slot. As a blocker he wasn't good.

If Arnold was still here he's taking receiving snaps from Moore and Kirk.

And if you want to get into a Green vs Arnold debate there's no competition. Green with his eyes closed is better than Arnold.

Not sure how anyone can watch this offense through 2 weeks and think it would be better with Dan Arnold in it. His biggest ever game for us was 76 yards. Maxx beat that already in week 2.

He's off to Jacksonville.....

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Panthers are trading Dan Arnold and a third-round draft pick to the Jaguars in exchange for CB C.J. Henderson.

Henderson has reportedly been on the trading block since August. With Carolina needing secondary help after losing Jaycee Horn indefinitely to a foot injury, the Panthers made the move, dealing Arnold to Jacksonville. The Jags lost James O'Shaughnessy (ankle) for at least a few weeks and started journeyman TE Jacob Hollister Sunday against Arizona. Arnold should immediately step in as the team's top pass-catching tight end in an offense that made O'Shaughnessy fantasy viable for the season's first couple weeks. Arnold has flashed when given the chance. He had seven catches for 84 yards in three games with the Panthers. Rookie Tommy Tremble -- who caught a 30-yard pass and scored on a short rushing attempt in Week 3 -- profiles as Carolina's pass-catching tight end after Arnold's departure. The Darnold-to-Arnold era was short lived.

Might as well stash this take here: I was really surprised by what a body-catcher A.J. Green has been. I watched his stats but never really his play in Cincy, and I think we've all be spoiled by the perfection of technique from Larry Fitzgerald lo these may years. Everything that comes to A.J. Green seems to get trapped against his chest. I guess it's been working for him, but yikes.
