I agree. Hazen’s hands are tied in a lot of situations. The only place he has free rein is the draft (and reasonably priced international prospect signings) and he has completely transformed the diamondbacks into one of the top farm systems in the MLB.
On a team as young as the Diamondbacks there is nothing wrong with bringing in a seasoned veteran who actually really wants to be here.
ask Mad Baum how that worked out, can they actually get a legit player in their prime who lives in Scottsdale in the offseason?
