NEOSHO, Mo. — Crowder College softball pitcher Jessica Smith was named first-team All American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Smith is one of 36 student-athletes from 18 NJCAA programs recognized as NJCAA Division I All-Americans.
"Crowder Softball is extremely proud of Jessica Smith and honored to have had her on our pitching staff,” Roughrider head coach Niki Keck said in a statement. “She is an exemplary example of what it means to be a Roughrider."
Smith finished the season fourth in NJCAA Division I wins with 26 and second in strikeouts with 308. She also had a season record of 26 wins and four saves to support the team's finish of 54-11.
The Roughrider softball team ended its season at the national tournament by earning fifth place and the Sportsmanship Award out of the 20 teams in the tournament.
