Cris Carter is someone that the NFL has always looked to as an example for incoming rookies and for veteran players alike. He is someone whose story is inspirational and cautionary to everyone. As a result, though, he is qualified to talk on a lot more topics than most.

The latest topic he added his opinion on was Shedeur Sanders and his fall down the board in the 2025 NFL Draft board. Carter spoke about Sanders and, as usual, he did not hold back on his thoughts regarding the now fifth-round draft pick.

"Let me tell you what (Sanders) understands today. He ain't runnin' s***. (The NFL) taught him a great lesson. You don't have this figured out. Your dad don't have this figured out....he threw away at least $30 to $50 million."

Sanders finds himself in Cleveland with the Browns as the fourth quarterback on the depth chart behind Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, and Kenny Pickett. Thankfully for him, at this point, he is the most talented in the group, so as long as this proves to be a learning experience, he may be alright.

As for Cris Carter, he will never change, and he never should. Vikings fans would never have it any other way.
