NHL expansion underway: These 3 cities are reportedly 'a given' to receive a hockey franchise

Three cities were listed as being a given for getting an NHL expansion team, with the League being rumored to go to 36 teams soon.

For the 4th, I will never understand why Portland it never an option. We average like 5k a game for the WHL to watch 17 year old's. The stadium, which is next to Moda Center, is a fun old stadium that with a modest upgrade would be perfect for the NHL! It was transformed after the Blazers left to a hockey focused arena. I go to 3-4 games a year for the experience, not for the hockey.

I have to root for the Dallas stars. Bleh. I will still probably root for the coyotes come back, but it's not the same.

I have to root for the Dallas stars. Bleh. I will still probably root for the coyotes come back, but it's not the same.

I now live in Frisco. I can't bring myself to root for any of the Dallas teams. I lived in Seattle for 3 years so I am pulling for the Kraken until we get our Yotes back.
