Not sure a one year contract is a solid back up option for either guy. There's no future certainty. I would be more worried if it were multi year.
It looks like the Arizona Coyotes have found their new general manager. Reports on Twitter from Coyotes Insider Craig Morgan and Elliotte Friedman report that Bill Armstrong will be the Coyotes new general manager.

Sources: Bill Armstrong has verbally agreed to become Coyotes GM but paperwork on a five-year contract still hasn’t been signed or finalized. But all signs point to him being the next Arizona GM.
