The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly one of the teams looking to made a trade in the upcoming 2025 NBA Draft to attain preferable draft position within the event. Brooklyn has four picks in the first round of the Draft and while they could use those to add young talent, they could also get creative with their assets and that could involve deals with other teams in the Lottery.
"I think one, two, four, and seven are probably all off the board, realistically speaking. The Sixers could move the pick at three," Brian Lewis of the New York Post said during an appearance on the outlet's account on X. As part of Lewis' appearance, he spoke on various topics related to the Nets, including his expectations for the team heading into June's Draft.
"That's not impossible, I think would be hard to get. I'm not sure whether it would be worth what you're gonna have to give up to get it," Lewis continued. "Now, at five, maybe Danny Ainge, he's in possession of that, and he's always willing to deal. There are credible reports out of Washington that the Wizards could conceivably be willing to move off of six, which that makes sense."
Since the offseason began, there have been plenty of reports indicating that the Nets could be looking to make some kind of deal heading into the Draft. At this point, it seems like anything is within the realm of possibility, whether that's Brooklyn using the No. 8 pick to get the No. 3 pick from the Philadelphia 76ers or by potentially making a deal with the Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, or Toronto Raptors to get a second Lottery pick.
Where there's smoke, there's fire and there seems to be some heat behind the notion that Brooklyn will make something happen between now and June 25. NBA insider Jake Fischer reported on Sunday for The Stein Line that the Nets are regarded by rival teams as one of the teams most likely to trade up in the upcoming Draft. After what Lewis had to say in May, it seems like Brooklyn has a number of teams to engage with.

With a surplus of picks available to #NetsWorld, Brooklyn has the potential to pursue Giannis Antetokounmpo and move up to take a premium prospect in the 2025 NBA Draft.@NYPost_Lewis | @BrandonLondonTV
