Just saw it reported. It's crazy how many significant arts and culture figures we have been losing in the last couple months. He was one of the most important American writers of the last half of the 20th century. Interesting that a film adaptation of his best work (IMHO) "Blood Meridian" seems to finally be getting off the ground after countless failed attempts.

Just finished Blood Meridian. Man he could f'n write.

I wonder if this could ever be a movie, seems like the sadistic behavior of Judge Holden probably cannot be brought to life.
