Congratulations Pouring In for WNBA Legend Candace Parker After Big News originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker firmly established herself as one of the greatest players in history during her 16 seasons in the league. The fact that the three-time WNBA champion is expected to be inducted into the Hall of Fame once she’s eligible is a clear testament to this fact.
Parker, though, has also been making waves in her post-WNBA career. Since retiring from the game in 2023, the seven-time All-Star has made a lot of moves off the court. Among other things, Parker was named the President of Adidas Women’s Basketball last year. More recently, the 39-year-old decided to venture into the world of podcasting, starting her own show with Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston called “Post Moves.”
Parker also transitioned to sportscasting after her retirement. She has been an analyst for TNT Sports where she’s provided coverage for college basketball, the NBA and the Unrivaled league. It was announced on Wednesday that Parker has agreed to a multi-year extension with the network for an undisclosed fee.
“I’m grateful to keep doing what I love with my TNT Sports family,” Parker said, via TNT’s press release. “Getting to cover the Big EAST, Big 12, March Madness, and now Unrivaled — it all means a lot. These moments are special, and I don’t take any of it for granted.”
The big news has been met with messages of congratulations from the fans on social media.

"Well deserved. She is awesome," a user posted.

According to TNT, Parker will continue as an analyst for men’s college basketball. She will also be part of the network’s highly anticipated inaugural season of BIG EAST men’s and women’s basketball, as well as Big 12 men’s basketball.
