Colorado, Deion Sanders Make Transfer Portal Move After Losing Top RB originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Throughout the offseason, the Colorado Buffaloes have faced several losses, including running back Isaiah Augustave, who entered the transfer portal on April 14.
He originally committed to Virginia on April 20 before re-entering the portal on May 21, meaning he could have returned to Boulder, which would have been a similar situation to linebacker Jeremiah Brown.
However, any thoughts of that happening have been officially squashed after Augustave announced on Wednesday he'd committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks.
It was certainly disappointing for head coach Deion Sanders, as last season, Augustave rushed the ball 85 times for 384 yards (led the team) and four touchdowns, while also having 11 receptions for 62 yards.
On Thursday, though, after officially being out of the running for a second time, the Buffaloes made a transfer portal move of their own, receiving a commitment from running back Simeon Price, as reported by Adam Munsterteiger of 247Sports.

It could prove to be a big addition for Colorado, as Price originally started his career with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, where he spent two years (2022 and 2023), accumulating 191 rushing yards and zero touchdowns on 35 carries.
In 2024, he transferred to Coastal Carolina to play with the Chanticleers, where his numbers were average, rushing the ball 44 times for 136 yards and yet again no touchdowns.
Coming out of high school as a member of the 2021 recruiting class, Price had some potential, as 247Sports Composite rankings had him as a three-star recruit, the No. 36 athlete and the No. 559 player in the nation.
However, he's also not the only running back that Sanders and Colorado have added through the transfer portal this offseason, as they've also landed a commitment from three-star DeKalon Taylor (Incarnate Word).
