Cleveland Browns Rookie RB Quinshon Judkins Arrested in Florida originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Quinshon Judkins of the Cleveland Browns was arrested on Saturday. Judkins, a second-round pick out of Ohio State, was booked in Fort Lauderdale on charges of touch or/stroke/battery/domestic violence, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office. The story was first posted by Zac Jackson of The Athletic.

A Browns spokesman said that the team is "aware and gathering information" on the arrest, per Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal. According to ProFootballTalk.com, the running back remains in custody as of 8:47 pm Saturday night.

This is the second consecutive season in which a Cleveland Browns second-round pick from Ohio State was arrested on domestic violence charges before the season began. On August 13, 2024, then-rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. was arrested on similar charges. Hall later pleaded no contest to a reduced charge and was given a suspended jail sentence and probation.

Judkins was the 36th overall pick in the draft, but he has yet to sign his contract with the team. Thirty NFL second-round choices remain unsigned, and the issue is the guaranteed money in the four-year contracts. The incident does render Judkins a suspension risk for the team, however, as his behavior does fall within the parameters of the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy.

Judkins was drafted in April with the expectation that he would replace departed fan-favorite Nick Chubb, who signed with the Houston Texans last month. He rushed for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns last season for Ohio State and led the team to a national championship. Judkins originally began his NCAA career at Ole Miss, where he gained 2,725 yards and 31 scores over two seasons.
